Dr. Ben Dorenkamp
Ben W Dorenkamp, DC was born and raised in southeast Colorado on a farm and
ranch. The Dorenkamp family was involved in raising cattle, sheep, racehorses,
and rodeo – both competing and producing at a professional level.
Ben was active in football and basketball in high school as well as the multitude of
outdoor activities that are involved in an agricultural setting.
He attended Mesa State College (now Colorado Mesa University) for his
undergraduate studies and then went to Texas Chiropractic College where he
attained his doctorate in Chiropractic in 1989.
Dr Ben began and maintained a chiropractic practice in Grand Junction, Colorado
for over 33 years where he treated patients ranging from infants to geriatrics. He
has extensive experience treating injuries from sports, auto accidents, falls, and
work related – both traumatic and repetitive use.
In October of 2022, Dr Dorenkamp decided to retire from full-time practice and
move to the Lansing Michigan area to be near
family. He now enjoys part time
practice at the Okemos Chiropractic Health Clinic and being a full-time grandpa.
