I was raised in Haslett, Michigan and graduated from Haslett High School. My daughter, husband, and I live in Mason. We have a Siberian Husky and a Collie who are like two more children. We love outdoor activities no matter the weather - including camping, biking, hiking and playing in the snow with the family.
My first experience with chiropractic care started at 3 months old. I had colic and after one adjustment, it was gone. My parents were thrilled to say the least! I had an auto accident at 14 years old that was the cause of significant whiplash. My chiropractor saw me everyday to get me back to a point that I could sit through church and class without debilitating headaches. In May 2001, I graduated from Northwestern Health Sciences University with a Bachelor in Biology and Doctor of Chiropractic. I worked in Portland, Michigan for 6 ½ years and then purchased Chiropractic Health Clinic, now Okemos Chiropractic Health Clinic in February of 2008. OCHC was previously located on Jolly Road. In May 2012 we moved to our current location at 2186 Commons Parkway in Okemos as well.
It is our goal to improve the health and life of every patient who walks into the clinic. There are closed adjusting rooms to allow for private information to stay private. We offer specialized care for pediatrics through geriatrics. I have more than 180 hours of specialized training in pediatric and pregnancy care, these patients should not be twisted and adjusted the same way a non-pregnant patient can be. I have many hours of nutritional training, including Nutritional Response Testing (NRT) and sports and rehabilitation. I use manual, activator, and Thompson (drop work) adjusting depending on the individual needs of the patient.
